The Road Trip Drag Challenge is a three day drag and drive event. Running since 2016 

Social drag racing events, where having a good time comes first.
- All events are 1/8 mile
- Must be street registered and drive between tracks

Rd 1 - March 27 -29, 2026 -- Warwick Dragway
Rd 2 - July 17 -- 19, 2026 -- Palmyra Dragway, Mackay
Rd 3 - Nov 6 - 8, 2026, -- Track TBC

Look out in 2026, with some new and exciting activities, including, Passenger rides, Footbrake 330, plus not to mention our usual 6.50 & 7.50 Shootouts and our DYO Challenge.

These events are designed for anyone that has a street registered car and enjoys 1/8 mile drag racing!

A variety of race classes gives everyone a chance of winning class prizes, trophies and bragging rights. Come along with your mates, friends and family to enjoy a great weekend away tripping around whilst putting down some fast passes.

In partnership with Track Action, Lakeside 

Off Street Drags is a social and inclusive event located at Lakeside Park, Kurwongbah – North Brisbane. The concept is based on taking street racing off the streets and having fun, in a friendly and controlled environment. 

The day will be made up of a 30 minute morning cruise session, where the whole family can jump in and experience this iconic track, cruise speed limits apply, and remember there are kids in cars, so keep things safe. We will then move into open runs, where you can line up against anyone and race them down the 8th mile strip, so if you have a grudge to settle, then this is the time to do so, from here we move into our eliminators, to be run class by class, we will knock them off until there is just 1 standing in each of our 6 classes, but wait there's more, if time permits, we will open the track again for open runs. 

Don't forget this event is for road registered cars only, and therefore your vehicle should be in roadworthy condition and fit for purpose at this event.

 Drag Entrant $150.00 early bird finishes at 3pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. Entry is $195 after this time and on the day.
Passenger $10.00
Spectator $10.00 per person

Qld No Prep Race series is a new series of events taking things up a notch from the Off Street Drags. 

How will the day run ?? - To make things easier for us, we will allocate carports to keep class entrants together. 

To kick the day off, we will start with 2 x test hits for each class.
We then move into elimination style racing.

Each class will run round by round until there is only 1 car left in that class, then we will move to the next class. So make sure you can hot lap and have enough fuel if you keep winning.
Each class will draw chips for lane and opponent, there will only be a chip draw for round 1 of racing, the 2nd round and all other rounds will be based on -- race 1 winner racing race 2 winner, race 3 winner racing race 4 winner, and so on.  
A race win = 5 points a loss = 0 points.
Each class will run 3 elimination rounds for the event, with your points being collated to determine a round winner. These points are collected from each of the 5 rounds to determine our 2026 No Prep Champions for each of the 7 classes. 

There will be prize money and a trophy for our winners in each class.
