The Road Trip
Drag Challenge

The Road Trip Drag Challenge is designed for mates, friends and family to enjoy a great weekend away tripping around whilst putting down some fast passes on the drag strip.

Road registered cars ONLY

  • 1 car = 1 class
  • Limited entries
  • All passes will be 1/8th mile
  • 10 classes with trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd
  • Classes subject to change depending on car #’s and types
  • NO trailering of competitor cars, once the event has started, trailering to the track and from the track at the end of the event is permitted. Exception to this would be if damaged by 3rd party, e.g., rock smashes windscreen, permission must be sought from event organiser prior to loading onto trailer or tilt-tray, if competitor wishes to continue in the event.
  • The changing of tyres from the road to the track and back is permitted.
  • Each competitors car must be driven on the Road Challenge.
  • Camping at the track is permitted. 
  • 10pm CURFEW ON ALL CAR MOVEMENTS

During the event, each entrant must complete a “Road Challenge” on days 1 & 2. Each entrant will be given a destination to head to and pick up their “Proof of Road Challenge”, this is to be show along with your best time slip to the event organiser in order for points to be allocated for that day, failure to complete the “Road Challenge” or to put down a pass will result in 0 points being allocated for that day.

Whilst on public roads entrants must abide by all road laws, those found not abiding to local road laws will be disqualified from the event and take no further part.

Whilst you will have unlimited runs, all we need, is just 1 slip from each entrant per day for points, points total from the 3 days will determine finishing placings for each class.

DYO CHALLENGE

To be run on the Saturday evening and only for Road Trip entrants 1st place gets $1500.

How it works – To be run round by round. Open to all entrants.

All drivers will receive 1 peg, hang on to it. Whatever you do don’t lose it or give it away, it is your spare lifeline.

Drivers will draw lanes and a challenger from a bucket then partner up and race, normal DYO rules apply. If you’re first across the line without going under your DYO time or red lighting and turn on the win light then you are instantly through to the next round, however if you loose and you still have that peg, then you can buy back in, simply hand back your peg and $20 to use your lifeline. If you choose not to buy back in that’s fine, BUT you MUST hand back your peg, failure to hand your peg back in will result in you loosing your points to date in the main competition. ALL buy-back $$$ will go into a bucket for 2nd place.

After each round you will draw for lanes and challenger again, this will continue until we reach our final 2 competitors.

Winners from the DYO competition and other awards will be announced at the dinner.

WHAT DO I GET & WHAT DOES IT COST?

Driver entry — $550 and all entrants must enter through the Racers system. 
 
A day license of $50 or annual of $95 is required for you to be able to enter this event. 

2nd Driver entry – $350  (receives everything below, except crew tickets)

Extra Crew Tickets $70

Addictive Classess

Classes

For vehicles with a radial tyre of ANY width, all-wheel drive, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles with a radial tyre of ANY width, all-wheel drive, without superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 275 or wider or all-wheel drive, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

 For vehicles that run a radial tyre 275 or wider or all-wheel drive with no nitrous or forced induction at all.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 265 or narrower with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 265 or narrower with no nitrous or forced induction at all.

For vehicles that run a true street tyre of ANY width, with a treadwear index of 140 or above, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof. PSR tyres are not permitted in this class.

For vehicles with any type radial tyre of any width, aspirated or forced induction, with or without nitrous in any combination thereof are allowed.

ENTRANTS WILL BE SPLIT INTO 2 GROUPS BASED ON TIMES AFTER THEY HAVE LOCKED IN THEIR DIAL INS FOR THE EVENT.

For vehicles that run a H-pattern style gear shifter and gearbox where a clutch pedal is required to be released to move the car once running, with any type radial tyre of any width, aspirated or forced induction, with or without nitrous in any combination thereof are allowed.

CHANGING OF CLASSES ONCE THE COMPETITION HAS STARTED IS NOT PERMITTED. CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, DEPENDING ON ENTRANT NUMBERS/CLASS.
Refund & Transfer Policy

Prior to entering this event, please be aware of our Refund & Transfer policy, if you are not happy with this policy, then PLEASE do NOT enter this event.

Addictive Events refunds and transfer policy, No refunds will be given. In the event that an entrant cannot attend the event then a credit will be given to attend 1 of our events at a later date, this credit is kept within the Racers system and can be used at any Addictive Events events. Entrants must notify Addictive Events within 6 weeks of the event start date if they wish to receive a 100% credit, if notice is given less than 6 weeks prior to the event start date then the entrant will incur a $60 admin fee which is taken from the entry credit. In the event of a total rain out, then all entries will be held over as a credit until the next suitable date or event. Entries between people are non-transferable. Please be aware of this prior to entering our event, these decisions are final and no discussions will be entered into.
