DRAG WEEK RULES

Trailering or towing of entered vehicles is not permitted from Monday 10am until end of the event on Friday 16th, (penalties apply)

Road registered cars only, Open to all makes and models, sorry, no bikes.

All vehicles must be in good roadworthy condition, with no fluid leaks and must be “fit for purpose”.

Minimum drivers’ licence is a P plate licence, minimum age is 17.

Drivers must complete a minimum of 1 pass at each track before heading off on the road course via 1 or more checkpoint locations, these checkpoint locations will be advised  each day, entrants must take a photo which includes their entered vehicle and entrant number, at the designated checkpoint/s location/s, this photo/s must be shown to the timekeeper when handing in your fastest slip for the day.

No photo = No points.

Time slips must be handed to the timekeeper prior to the next days start time, excluding Friday, which will be by an advised time. Timekeeper open times to be advised.

Time slips can ONLY be submitted by the entered driver, and ONLY at Warwick Dragway, slips will not be accepted at any other location.

Support vehicles are permitted on day 1 of the event to help entrants get their supplies to Warwick Dragway.

After unloading at Warwick Dragway, all support vehicles must be put into a designated area at Warwick Dragway by 7am on day 2 and are not to be used for the remainder of the event. Penalties apply for failure to comply. Exception to this is only if you are out of the competition.

Camping will be at Warwick Dragway for the entire event.

Camping at the track is only for drivers and crew (Penalties apply)

Staying in motels in the Warwick area is permitted.

Entrants and/or their entered vehicles are NOT permitted to head to the next days track prior to 6am on the day of the event at that particular track. (Penalties Apply)

There will be onsite security at Warwick Dragway when entrants or staff are not onsite at the track.

Entrants must use their entered car for all movements, this includes going to the pub, getting fuel, parts, etc.

The use of Taxi’s, Uber’s or other ride share vehicles is NOT permitted.

The use of another entered vehicle IS permitted.

Any entrant caught using another vehicle other than an entered vehicle will not receive any further points for the event.

If an entrant is disqualified from the event, they can still take part, just not receive points.

All entrants are required to carry their own supplies, including fuel cans, tyres, parts, and crew, between tracks, support vehicles are not permitted.

Crew members may travel in another entered vehicle, however entered drivers are NOT permitted to carry other entrants’ supplies.

Entrants are NOT required to take all their gear to the activities for each day and ARE permitted to leave their campsites setup until the end of the event.

All crew members must travel in an entered vehicle.

There is no limit to crew members, except for the number of seats available in an entered vehicle. NB: Crew tickets are purchased separately to entry.

All spectator vehicles are to be parked outside of the main pit/paddock area, penalties apply if spectator vehicles are in or around your pit area, so best move them along. Signs will show designated spectator parking areas.

Only entered and event vehicles are permitted in the pit/paddock areas.

The sharing of crew, fuel, parts, etc between entrants is permitted.

All drivers and crew members should always have a crew band on during the event.

Only people with event wristbands are permitted to work on entered vehicles.

Radial tyres only, NO slicks

All passes are 8th mile.

All classes except for AT & BT, are limited and no slips quicker than 6.50 over the 8th mile will be excepted.

The towing of a trailer by an entered car is permitted. (no size limits)

The changing of tyres between tracks is permitted.

Crew members are permitted to drive the entered vehicle between tracks.

There is no catering supplied by Addictive events, however track cafes will be open.

Racers Clubman licence required for all drivers. (Warwick Dragway)

AASA General Speed or day licence for all drivers.  (QLD Raceway)

IHRA licence for unlimited, teched vehicles in Classes AT & BT. (Willowbank Raceway)

Enclosed footwear

An approved helmet, AS/NZ1698 or equivalent, less than 10 years old. Army style NOT permitted.

IHRA Teched & Licenced drivers must abide by IHRA attire rules and regulations.

Driver entry — $725 (includes driver entry to all tracks, camping, shirt & gift pack)

Crew — $40 (includes spectator entry to all tracks and camping)

Day 1 — Willowbank Raceway — Competition Points Day

Day 2 — Warwick Dragway — Competition Points Day

Day 3 — Queensland Raceway — Destination Points Day + Family Fun Day 

Day 4 — Willowbank Raceway – Competition Points Day

Day 5 — Warwick Dragway — Competition Points Day

NOTE — Day 3 at Queensland Raceway, is designed as a fun day for entrants, family, and crew to have fun at the track, cruising, roll racing, no prep drag racing, etc. We have also hired the go kart track for a bit extra fun.

Entrants are not obligated to go on track; however, points are awarded for being at the drivers briefing by a certain time, and for completing the road course and checkpoints.

Each class receives their own points and class trophies.

Points for each class are allocated each day based on fastest to slowest time for Classes AT & BT, fastest to slowest over 6.500 for classes A – MB, and closest to furtherest from your dial in, without going under, for class J – DYO.

1st – 200 points

2nd — 195 points

3rd — 190 points

4th — 185 points, etc, etc.

The entrant with the most points in each class over the 5 days is the winner of that class.

Should 2 or more drivers finish on the same points, then fastest average time will determine the placings.

Road Trip Drag Week Grand Champion   

Will be awarded to the entrant with the fastest average time over the course of the event.

SCHEDULE

Monday August 12, Day 1 — WILLOWBANK RACEWAY

6.30 – Gates open at Willowbank Raceway

7am – Sign on.

9.15am – Compulsory drivers briefing

9.30am on track at Willowbank Raceway

Class J – DYO, can only do 1 pass before locking in their dial in for the event.

Drivers can make their way to Warwick Dragway via checkpoints any time after completing at least 1 pass.      See event staff for checkpoint/s locations.

2.30pm — off track

4pm – advised — Handing in of Day 1 slips, + show checkpoint/s proof at Warwick Dragway for day 1 points.

 

Tuesday August 13, Day 2 – WARWICK DRAGWAY

8.30am — Compulsory drivers briefing

9am — On track at Warwick Dragway

Drivers can head off on their road course any time after completing at least 1 pass.

3pm – off track

2pm – advised — Handing in of Day 2 slips, + showing checkpoint/s proof at Warwick Dragway for day 2 points.

Wednesday August 14, Day 3 – QUEENSLAND RACEWAY

6am – Drivers can checkout of Warwick Dragway and head to QLD Raceway (no checkpoints to get there) Penalties apply for leaving early.

9am – Compulsory drivers briefing. (Points awarded for on time drivers)

12pm – Entrants can head off on their road course to Warwick Dragway, via checkpoint/s.  Penalties apply for leaving early.

2pm – Off track

4pm – advised — Showing checkpoint/s proof at Warwick Dragway for Day 3 points.

Thursday August 15, Day 4 – WILLOWBANK RACEWAY

6am – Drivers can checkout of Warwick Dragway and head to Willowbank Raceway (no checkpoints to get there) Penalties apply for leaving early.

9.15am – Compulsory drivers briefing

9.30am on track at Willowbank Raceway

Drivers can make their way to Warwick Dragway via checkpoints any time after completing at least 1 pass.      See event staff for checkpoint/s locations.

2.30pm — off track

4pm – advised — Handing in of Day 1 slips, + show checkpoint/s proof at Warwick Dragway for day 1 points.

Friday August 16, Day 5 – WARWICK DRAGWAY

8.30am — Compulsory drivers briefing

9am — On track at Warwick Dragway

Drivers can head off on their road course any time after completing at least 1 pass.

3pm – off track

2pm – advised — Handing in of Day 2 slips, + showing checkpoint/s proof at Warwick Dragway for day 2 points.

3.01pm – DRINKS

4.30pm — Presentation

Entrants and crew are welcome to camp the night.

CLASSES

For vehicles that have full tech, with a radial tyre of ANY width, all-wheel drive, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof

For vehicles that have full tech, with a radial tyre of ANY width, all-wheel drive, without superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 275 or wider or all-wheel drive, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 275 or wider or all-wheel drive with no nitrous or forced induction at all.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 265 or narrower, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles that run a radial tyre 265 or narrower with no nitrous or forced induction at all.

For vehicles that run a true street tyre of ANY width, with a treadwear index of 140 or above, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

For vehicles that run a true street tyre of ANY width, with a treadwear index of 140 or above, with no nitrous or forced induction at all.

For vehicles with any type of radial tyre of any width, aspirated or forced induction, with or without nitrous in any combination thereof are allowed. Dial ins, must be submitted as per the regulations, and slips can’t be handed in that are under your dial in.

For vehicles that run a H-pattern style gear shifter and gearbox where a clutch pedal is required to be released to move the car once running, with any type of radial tyre of any width, with superchargers, nitrous, turbos or any combination thereof.

A minimum of 100 entries must be received for this to go ahead, if we don’t receive enough entries, then all entrants will be refunded, and the event cancelled.

To ensure that we deliver a great event, we have also decided that we should cap entrant numbers for the first event to 130.

Entries will open via the Racers entry system on Sunday, April 28th, at 12 noon.

It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that they have the required licences for the event.
